Invitation to attend the World Ophthalmology Congress 2012 (WOC2012)

I would like to extend to you a personal invitation toattend the World Ophthalmology Congress 2012(WOC2012), which will take place in Abu Dhabi, thecapital city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from16-20 February 2012.

With over 500 sessions and 2000 internationalspeakers, WOC2012 will meet the expectations of themost senior ophthalmologist and those new to ourprofession alike. The multidisciplinary program willcover over 30 subspecialty and topic areas in invitedsymposia, instruction courses, free paper sessions,video sessions, poster presentations as well asindustry led symposia. The complete scientific program is now available fordownloading in PDF format or viewing online, with aninteractive Online Session Planner Tool that allowsyou to browse and select the sessions that mostinterest you ( have applied for CME accreditation by the EuropeanAccreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education(EACCME), which will also be recognized by theAmerican Medical Association. Local and regionalinstitutions will also provide CME accreditation toCongress attendees. Updated information on the CMEhours and accrediting bodies will be posted on theWOC2012 website.

The UAE have a relaxed access policy whereby over 35nationalities do not require a visa to travel to thecountry. Thanks to the sponsorship of the Abu DhabiTourism Authority, a very simple visa applicationprocess has been set up for all other nationalitiesthat do require a visa. There are currently 30 official hotels available to bebooked on the website, which range from luxury resortto budget hotels.  A complimentary shuttleservice will be arranged from the official hotels tothe Congress Centre (ADNEC).
